This was comprised of eBraam, the classic Matangi String Quartet and Taylor Ho Bynum as well as Carl Ludwig Hubsch, Nils Wogram, and eBraam. Aty de Windt was the bass player and Andre Groen was the guira. This band specializes in Antillean Waltzes. He co-leads All Ears with Frans Vermeerssen (with Herb Robertson and Frank Gratkowski), Wilbert de Joode, Michael Vatcher, and Wilbert de Jonde. He also worked with musicians such as George Lewis, Benjamin Herman and Han Bennink, Conny, Hannes Bauer, and Steve Arguelles. Bik Bent Braam, an orchestra that was larger than any other in the field of improvisation music, performed all over the world as well as BraamDeJoodeVatcher. Braam created Nopera in 2007. This was a kind of music theater piece that could be performed at will and had lots of room to improvise. The libretto was written using the Nothingyettish language. Bik Bent Braam ended in 2012 and was replaced by Flex Bent Braam. The band’s first program, “Lucebert”, was presented on stage in 2013 along with an album. 2015 saw eBraam record “The Extraordinary love Story of Aye Aye And Fedor”, featuring singer Dean Bowman as the narrator. This was after Ana Isabel Ordonez’s children’s book. It is part of a larger project that also includes fine art and dance.

Braam received the Podium Prize in 1988 and the VPRO/Boy Edgar Award in 1997.
