Borel began her education at Dunross Preparatory in Westmoorings. After Common Entrance, Borel moved to St. Francois Girls College in Belmont in 1995. She was involved in drama, chess and language clubs at St. Francois. Borel’s impressive voice on a demo cassette impressed a teacher at the school. She then started hosting all school events.
