Fraser joined Ross County of Scotland’s First Division on 10 June 2011. He played in all league matches during his first season with the club. Ross County won the First Division, and was promoted to the Scottish Premier League. As a reward for his fifth place finish in the SPL, Fraser was granted a contract extension on 21 May 2013. The club released Fraser in May 2014.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle signed Fraser in 2002. Although he was a skilled shinty player for Glenurquhart Shinty Club, he left the sport to pursue professional goals. Fraser made a remarkable save in a 3-2 win at home over Celtic. Although he made his Motherwell debut against Llanelli in the UEFA Europa League qualifying match, he was not able to play for Motherwell because of the loan arrival from Everton John Ruddy. Darren Randolph, a new signing for Motherwell, took over the first-choice goalkeeper position during Motherwell’s preseason and UEFA Europa League matches. Fraser was again restricted to the bench. Motherwell released Fraser on 31 August 2010 as he was not in their plans.
Fraser was a trialist for Montrose’s Third Division team in a match against Albion Rovers. The club was unable to offer Fraser full-time football and Fraser left in a matter of days. Fraser was officially registered with Birkirkara, the Maltese Premier League champions. At the end of the season, he left the club.
In April 2015, Fraser retired from football and returned to playing shinty for Glenurquhart Shinty Club.
