We are focused on the short term at the expense of the long term. And we reward hyper-partisanship over making progress on behalf of the American people.”
Since 2003, MacGuineas was the president of The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget. This nonpartisan organization is dedicated to fiscal policy issues. The Hill (newspaper) describes the Committee as a “budget watchdog”.
