Maxwell Konadu, a former international football player from Ghana, was born 4 December 1972. He was the Ghana’s caretaker coach, manager of the national under-23 football team and former manager of Asante Kotoko, a Glo Premier League club. Konadu was a member the Men’s National Team which won the bronze medal in the 1992 Summer Olympics, Barcelona, Spain. As assistant coach for Ghana’s Men Olympic Team in Barcelona, Spain in 1992, Konadu won gold at the All-Africa Games (Maputo, Mozambique) in 2011.

Konadu was named assistant coach at Asante Kotoko in July 2011. This is the club where his first goal scoring success came. After his return from the All- Africa Games, in Maputo (Mozambique), Konadu was appointed assistant coach of Asante Kotoko. The GFA (Ghana Football Association) appointed Konadu as assistant coach of Ghana’s national football team, replacing James Kwesi Appiah on 3 May 2012. Konadu, who had led Asante Kotoko to their 22nd league title, and qualified for the 2013 CAF Champions League, resigned his position as manager of Glo Premier League Club Asante Kotoko. Mas-ud Didi Dramani succeeded Konadu as Asante Kotoko’s manager. Konadu, who succeeded Orlando Wellington, was appointed manager of Ghana’s national under-20 football team on 10 July 2012. Konadu was also appointed manager of Asante Kotoko in January 2013.

Following his playing career, Konadu became a coach. first interning at Ghana’s Feyenoord Academy before taking on the assistant coach position of Red Bull Academy’s U-17 team in Sogakope.

He received the International DFB Coaching Certificates B and A in 2008 and 2009. He had already moved to Ghana Premier League club All Stars F.C. and was their coach during the 2009-10, 2010-11 seasons.
