1. Reger was born in Brand, Bavaria and was the first child of Josef Reger
and his wife Katharina Philomena.
2. Reger studied piano and organ from the age of five, and was sent to Hugo
Riemann to study music theory.

Protestant.
4. Reger wrote mainly Lieder, chamber music, choral music and works for piano
