Matus Tomko is one of the most popular and richest Singer who was born on February 4, 1978 in Vranov nad Topľou, Prešov Region, Slovakia. Matus Tomko, a Slovak opera singer (bass) was born in Vranov nad Toplou on February 4, 1978. He studied opera singing in the Church Conservatory of Bratislava, Slovakia (1998-04) with Mgr. Art. Frantisek Malatinec, where he had been performing regularly at graduation concerts since the third year of his studies. He has been a soloist in the State Theatre in Kosice since 2004, when he was the Speaker of the Temple in Magic Flute of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. This was under the guidance of Miloslav Obswald and Igor Dohovic. He won third place in 2005 at the 40th Antonin Dvorak International Vocal Competition for opera singing in Karlovy Vary (Czech Republic).

He was a principal soloist in the State Theatre in Kosice and has sung many of the roles in the world repertoire, including Brander in Faust, Micha – in the Bartered Bride and Samuel Ribbing in Un Ballo in Maschera. Marchese d’Obigny in La Traviata, G. Verdi’s Masetto, Captain Zuniga in Carmen, W. A. Mozart. ).

Matus Tomko, a member of the Church Conservatory of Music (Bratislava) was invited to a concert to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Anna Hrusovska’s birth.
