William Matthew “Matt” Noveskey, born June 16, 1976, is an American singer-songwriter, record producer and guitarist. He is best known for his work in the bands Blue October (a+)machines.

Noveskey is a vocalist, bassist, songwriter and record producer who tours and records with his bands. He formed 116 Producers in January 2008 with Chuck Alkazian, producer/engineer. They work with some of today’s brightest talent, mostly recording in Detroit and Austin. Noveskey has produced many artists who have been signed to major labels, won awards and had their songs featured in movies and TV shows. Noveskey produces young talent and is also the owner of Wanderlust Artist Management and Promotion. This company promotes and manages the artists he produces. His current roster includes Dossey, Courrier and IAmDynamite. Matt is also the manager of Dalton Rapattoni, who placed third on American Idol. He also produced Rapattoni’s debut solo album Nobody’s Home. Along with Blue October’s guitarist C.B., Noveskey was instrumental in the 2012 opening of Orb Recording Studios. Hudson was instrumental in the construction of Orb Recording Studio, an Austin-based residential recording studio. It opened in 2013. Orb Studios was named Austin’s top recording studio by the Austin Music Industry Awards in 2014.

Noveskey is a celebrity endorser of Fender basses, Aguilar bass amps, Michael Kelly acoustic basses, Old School FX pedals and Black Diamond strings, and the first Moniker bass guitar was custom-built for Noveskey in 2013. He also is a member of the advisory board for Black Fret, an Austin-based organization that finds and funds local music talent.

In 2014, Noveskey joined the band Harvard of the South with Steve Schiltz of Longwave and Justin and Jeremy Furstenfeld of Blue October. Harvard of the South has completed recording an album, however due to most of the members being busy with Blue October, the album has yet to be released. Matt has also toured and played shows as a live member of The Meeting Place, The Paco Estrada Band, Megan Becker Band, and Alpha Rev. He produced and played bass on Paco Estrada’s album Bedtime Stories and also played bass on Estrada’s live album Dancing With The Devil, both of which were recorded at Noveskey’s Orb Studios. Matt also plays bass in the Ryan Delahoussaye-fronted side project The Meeting Place.

Noveskey toured extensively in support of Consent to Treatment with Blue October. Although the band was dropped by Universal Records in 2002, he remained with them until the tour’s end. Blue October signed a new contract with Universal for 2003’s History for Sale, to which Noveskey also contributed. Matt returned to Blue October in 2004. Blue October did not perform the Noveskey-penned song “You Make Me smile” during Matt’s absence. It was the opening song of the band’s 2006 platinum album Foiled, and it is a popular live favorite.
