Martin Paul Sargent (born August 18 1975) is an American TV personality who was the co-host of the This WEEK in FUN podcast alongside Sarah Lane. The most popular of his appearances comes for his role as the Segment Producer for TechTV’s The Screen Savers and later as presenter of his personal late-night talk show Unscrewed along with Martin Sargent.

On the 25th of March, 2004 the Comcast G4 Gaming channel announced the merger of TechTV. This announcement caused a lot of controversy with the loyal fan base of TechTV. In May, G4 announced the termination of 250 employees at their San Francisco office by July 10, 2004, which allowed around 80-100 employees to transfer to the main office of G4 situated in Los Angeles, California if they would agree to relocate to the area. Sargent decided to remain with G4 and relocated from San Francisco to Los Angeles.

On January 30, 2008, the Revision3 website released the first episode of Martin Sargent’s new show, Internet Superstar.

In November 2009, Martin and long-time associate Molly McDonald became engaged.

Six months after the 11th of November 2004 G4TechTV cancelled Unscrewed and then fired Sargent and several other former coworkers from TechTV.

Since 1998 Sargent was a part of his first ZDTV (later TechTV) TV show Call For Help as the show’s “Resident Craft Professional” and the show’s substitute host. He joined the show in 2001. changed to Call For Help to another TechTV show, called The Screen Savers and gained a reputation at first by the name “The Twisted Lister”, for his creation and presentation of bizarre, “twisted” top-five lists on the show, as well as later, for a different segment called “Site of the Night” where he presented odd websites.

He has reappeared on Revision3 show ‘The Digg Reel’ twice since he was laid off, once as acting co-host alongside Kevin Rose while regular host Andrew Bancroft was on vacation. In this appearance he expressed mock-anger that, as part of promotions within the show, other cancelled show ‘Pixel Perfect’ has been revived, unlike his own shows. He appeared once more on The Digg Reel’s 100th episode, in which he jokingly stated that he secretly lived within the walls of the Revision3 building, resulting from his supposed inability to get another job.
