Martin McCarrick is one of the most popular and richest Guitarist who was born on July 29, 1962 in Luton, England, United Kingdom. Martin McCarrick (born 29 July 1962 located in Luton, Bedfordshire) is a English keyboardist, cellist, guitarist, and composer.

In 2006, McCarrick (along together with Kimberlee McCarrick) participated at the Patti Smith’s Meltdown festival held at The Royal Festival Hall in London in which they performed along with Sinead O’Connor Marianne Faithful and Kristin Hersh.

In 2012, he was working (for the first time in almost 30 years) again with Marc Almond, for his performance of Almond’s seminal Torment & Toreros album from 1983 in its entirety, for the Meltdown 2012 festival. He was musical director for the string and choir sections and performed as well. He continues to work with Marc Almond and in 2013 teamed up with Marc and the legendary Tony Visconti to record new material.

He and his wife, Kimberlee, a violinist, now work together as The McCarricks – a live audio visual performance based show. They have toured extensively in the UK, USA and Europe and have written music for Channel 4, Embarrassing Bodies and the Animal Rights Society of the USA.

The year was 2004, and he appeared again together with Siouxsie in her Dreamshow show, which included an orchestra in full and included songs from both Siouxsie and the Bansheees and The Creatures back catalogues.

He is most well-known for his collaboration in the band Siouxsie and Siouxsie and the Banshees from 1987 to 1995. He was on the band’s 1987 album Through the Looking Glass and afterward, he recorded three album studios: Peepshow, Superstition and The Rapture. The most successful hit with the group was in the year 1991, with the track “Kiss Them For Me” that reached number 23 in the Billboard Hot 100. Together with Siouxsie as well as the Banshees the singer also appeared in the movies Batman Returns and Showgirls.

McCarrick is also known for his part in 4AD records’ supergroup This Mortal Coil with whom the group recorded three albums – It’ll End In Tears, Filigree and Shadow and Blood. In addition to his involvement as a member of This Mortal Coil he contributed to the live and recording performances of many 4AD bands, such as Dead Can Dance, The Wolfgang Press, Peter Murphy, Heidi Berry, Lush, Throwing Muses and Kristin Hersh. He later became a part of the rock group Therapy? He joined them in the year 1996 (his first show as a full-time member was an unannounced fan-club event held in Dublin, Ireland on 10 April 1996) The band had previously offered guest cellos for their two albums Troublegum as well as Infernal Love and numerous live performances in the band’s repertoire from 1992. When the band was on their UK concert tour of 2003 McCarrick ruptured his eardrum. He had to be evacuated mid-tour. His last performance with Therapy? was held in Glasgow, Scotland on 28 November 2003. McCarrick quit Therapy? in March of 2004.

2007-8 saw violin and cello duo The McCarricks tour the UK, Europe and USA. Two E.P releases followed – ‘3’ and ‘The McCarricks’, both on The McCarricks’ own ‘House of McCarrick’ label.
