Andresen was born in Krakstad. He played on numerous Norway national teams for youth while participating in the clubs of Moss, Viking and Stabaek Fotball between 1995 and 1999. After the 1999 seasonended, Andresen was traded to Premier League club Wimbledon in an agreement worth PS1 million. Like many other Norwegians who were part of the team his time at Wimbledon was brief and unsuccessful. He scored a goal for Wimbledon in an 1-0 loss to Liverpool.
