Marteria is one of the most popular and richest Rapper who was born on December 4, 1982 in Rostock, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. Marten Laciny (born 4 December 1982) is better known as the stage name Marteria is a German hip-hop artist hailing from Rostock.

The album he released as his debut, Halloziehnation, was praised by the press, and scene magazine Juice was awarded 4 1/2 of six stars. Then, he released his second album Base Ventura. Both albums were released on the label indie Magnum12 which established the basis for his present career. In the late autumn of 2007 the artist signed a contract with the music publishing house Nesola. in December 2007 under his alternate name, Marsimoto, he joined Jan Delay as tour support. In spring 2008 , he signed a contract in partnership with Four Music (owned by Sony Music Entertainment). He also launched his own label named Green Berlin.

In 2003, he moved to Berlin. He was a trained actor at the Drama School. He has a son and is now living within Berlin’s Kreuzberg district.
