Mark Stepnoski is one of the most popular and richest American Football Player who was born on January 20, 1967 in Erie, Pennsylvania, United States. Mark Matthew Stepnoski (born January 20th 1967) is an ex- American offensive lineman for the football team who played in the National Football League. He was a student at Cathedral Preparatory School in Erie, Pennsylvania, and went on to become a star player on the University of Pittsburgh. He played for 13 seasons in the NFL as a member of the Dallas Cowboys from 1989 to 1994, then with Houston Oilers from 1995 to 1998, with the Houston Oilers from 1995 to 1998, before returning with the Cowboys for three additional seasons. Stepnoski has won two Super Bowls while with The Cowboys and was invited to the Pro Bowl five times between 1992 and 1996.

The Cowboys moved him to centereven though the player had never played at the position before. In his rookie season, he was coached by Tom Rafferty, who was playing in his final season of the NFL. He was a starter for the final 4 games in the regular season. Stepnoski used his athletic skill as well as his leverage and balance to take on larger defensive players and eventually become one of the top league centers of his time. At the close of 1991, he was chosen to one of the five consecutive Pro Bowls. From 1992 until 1994, along alongside Erik Williams, Mark Tuinei, Nate Newton and Kevin Gogan, he was a part of some of the most successful offensive lines in NFL history. They helped open the way for EmmittSmith becoming the NFL’s all-time top rusher. The year 1993 was the first time he was struck by an injury to his knee which required surgery when playing the Minnesota Vikings in the 13th game of the season. He was substituted with John Gesek and couldn’t play in the playoffs nor Super Bowl XXXIII. He was a free agent at the close of the season, however the Cowboys could only agree to a one-year deal ($1.2 million ) and the signing bonus of $500,000).

Stepnoski was one of the team’s first big-name players to leave the Cowboys following the 1994 season via unrestricted free agency, leaving with three Pro Bowls and back-to-back Super Bowl victories.

Stepnoski signed with the Houston Oilers in 1995. During his first two seasons with the Oilers he increased his streak of Pro Bowl selections to five. Stepnoski played two more seasons with the team upon their relocation to Nashville.

Stepnoski was picked for the Dallas Cowboys in the third round of the 1989 NFL Draft. The draft was not his favorite due to the fact that scouts believed that he was too small and not suitable for National Football League.
