Mark Dodd (born September 14 1965) is an American former goalkeeper in professional soccer. Dodd played one season in the Major Indoor Soccer League, six in the American Professional Soccer League, and four with Major League Soccer with the Dallas Burn. Additionally, he earned 15 caps as a member of his US National team.

The Dallas Burn of Major League Soccer picked Dodd during the sixth round (53rd overall) of the 1996 MLS’s Inaugural Player Draft. He was the team’s primary goalie. He was a part of 31 games during the first season of the Burn and was named MLS’s inaugural goalkeeper of the year. Dodd was instrumental in leading the Burn to winning the 1997 US Open Cup championship. He played for four seasons with Dallas breaking records and having consecutive appearances at the MLS All-Star game, as in addition to being selected in the AT&T Best XI. in 1999 Matt Jordan replaced Dodd as the goalkeeper in the first for six games in the season after Dodd suffered ligament injuries within his hand. The surgery was performed to his hand on February of 2000 and then resigned shortly thereafter.

When the 1990 season began, Dodd was signed by The Colorado Foxes of the American Professional Soccer League. It was the inaugural year of the APSL that was created through the merger of the Western Soccer League and the American Soccer League. In the inaugural year, Dodd was named APSL West Player of the Year as well as the first goalie to be selected for the All-Star team. Between 1992 and 1993 the Foxes have won back-to back APSL championships.

Dodd was a student at Richardson High School, graduating in 1984. He went on to Duke University, where he played in the college soccer league. He was a goalkeeper for the first team in 1986, and then led the team to win the NCAA Championship. It was the first time Duke won a NCAA Championship of any kind.
