Mark Anthony Sammut is one of the most popular and richest Politician who was born on February 26, 1986 in Gudja, Malta. Mark Anthony Sammut (born 26 February 1986 in Malta) is a Maltese politician and electrical engineer. Sammut is currently the president of the Nationalist Party (Malta)’s Executive Committee. He is also a local councillor from Gudja.
In 2013 He was appointed the representative of the Opposition in the National Vote 16 Committee. He served until the committee was disbanded in September of 2016.
In 2015, he was elected in the Nationalist Party (Malta)’s Executive Committee as a representative of the Party’s General Council. He was re-elected in November 2017, where he was also nominated and approved as the Executive Committee President.
From 2013 until the year 2016, Sammut was a member elected on the Executive Committee for Moviment Zghazagh Partit Nazzjonalista (MZPN) as well as a member of the organization within the Nationalist Party (Malta)’s Executive Committee.

Sammut was an active part of Gudja’s PN Sectional Committee in Gudja from 2006 until 2013. He was also Vice-Secretary of the committee from 2009 and 2013. In 2013, Sammut resigned the position because of his decision to run for his candidacy for the General Election.
Mark Anthony Sammut stepped into politics at first in his first Local Council elections in 2006 at the age of 20. He was elected to the Nationalist Party (Malta) ticket with the first-preference vote of 205. In 2009, he was reelected with 443 first-preference votes and in 2013, with 544 votes for first-preference.
In 2013, Sammut contested the General Election for the first time on the 4th and 5th districts. He earned 557 and 582 first-preference votes respectively. He re-contested the General Election in 2017 on the 4th district, where he received 1,379 first-preference votes.
