Mario Salgado is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on June 3, 1981 in Talcahuano, Bío Bío Region, Chile. Mario Antonio Salgado Jimenez (born 3 June 1981) is a Chilean retired soccer player.
As a player for Brescia, Salgado scored 1 goal in 18 games. He was later loaned out by Serie B side Hellas Verona in 2003, and played the remainder of the season at Hellas Verona.
In December 2010, Salgado moved to Primera A side Colo-Colo, on a one-year deal.
After his successful seasons at Avellino, he returned to Foggia, where he also had a good season, scoring 15 goals in 38 appearances. His good performances’ for Foggia and Avellino attracted the attention of Torino and joined the Serie B club in a co-ownership deal. However, he had a regular season at Torino, only scoring 1 goal during 9 appearances (six games in Serie B and three in the promotion playoffs). On 3 January 2011, the club’s directive terminated his contract.
It was in July of 2003 that it it was confirmed that Salgado made the move from Austrian Bundesliga side SV Salzburg which is among the most well-known teams in Austria. However, he went through an unfavorable time at Salzburg and was transferred to Ternana which was a the teammate of his fellow nation’s player Luis Jimenez, and shortly after, was loaned out to AlbinoLeffe in the year 2006. After his time at AlbinoLeffe the contract with AlbinoLeffe Salzburg (now known as Red Bull Salzburg) expired in 2006, was not renewed and was let go from the team.
