Marinus Dijkhuizen (born 4 January 1972 in’s-Gravenzande) is a Dutch football coach, manager and former player who is the manager for SBV Excelsior. As an athlete, he played for memorable spells in his native Netherlands as a player with SBV Excelsior, SC Cambuur and TOP Oss. In 2009, he retired and was promoted to management, back to SBV Excelsior as manager in 2014.

Then, in 2008, Dijkhuizen was able to take on a coaching position at Eerste Klasse club’s-Gravenzandse which is where started his career. The club was closed in 2009.

Dijkhuizen signed a two-year contract with Derde Klasse Sunday club VV De Meern in January 2012. After officially starting work on 1 July 2012, he managed the club until December 2013.

During the 2012–13 Eredivisie season, Dijkhuizen worked as a forward coach at former club FC Utrecht. In January 2018, he returned to the club as assistant to manager Jean-Paul de Jong and remained in the role until January 2020.

From 2008 until the year 2012 Dijkhuizen served as an analyst with S.B.V. Excelsior, conducting research and providing information regarding the team’s future opponents.

Forward, Dijkhuizen was a forward who spent most of his playing career within the top two divisions in Dutch football, notably having two stints with SBV Excelsior and SC Cambuur. He was player in SC Cambuur’s SC Cambuur team which secured promotion to the Eredivisie during the 1997-98 season and later played top-flight soccer in the top division of FC Utrecht. He played on loan for Scottish Premier League club Dunfermline Athletic in the season 2000-01. He was dismissed at the conclusion of the 2008-09 season following an experience as a coach at his home club’s-Gravenzande SC.
