Marie Curtin is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on August 7, 1985 in Limerick, Ireland. Curtin was born within County Limerick, near Kilmallock. The Curtin family has operated an agricultural dairy in the area of Banogue and Athlacca in the 1940s. Marie’s parents Sean as well as Eileen, assumed the farm in the year 1975. Marie is one of seven children with three sisters and three brothers. She began playing football in association on the farm alongside her siblings and other acquaintances from a young age. Curtin was a student at Ard Scoil Mhuire in Bruff. From 2004 to 2008, she went to Hofstra University on a four- year full soccer scholarship. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts with a major in sociology.

Curtin has played semi-professional soccer. In 2005-2008, when studying at Hofstra University, Curtin also played for Long Island Fury in the Women’s Premier Soccer League. The 20th May 2005 was the day that Curtin scored the three first goals in the history of the team in the first half, scoring a triple as Long Island defeated Northampton Laurels by 5-0 in the WPSL debut. Curtin also played a second time as a semi-professional player when she was a player with Fortuna Alesund during the 2012 Norwegian First Division season.

Before the establishment of Women’s National League, Curtin was playing junior football with Kilmallock United. In 2010 Curtin helped them reach the FAI Women’s Junior Cup final which they lost 1–0 to Bohemians. The inaugural 2011–12 Women’s National League season saw Curtin playing for Cork Women’s F.C.. The 2014–15 season saw Curtin sign for Galway W.F.C.. By 2017 Curtin was playing for Aisling-Annacotty in the Limerick Women’s & Schoolgirls’ Soccer League. In 2018 she made a return to the WNL with Limerick.

In 2013 Curtin and her father, Sean, co-founded a dairy foods company, Temple Dairy Ltd. The company’s main product is a healthy chocolate milk drink. Curtin is the company’s managing director. In April 2017 Curtin promoted her product on an edition of Dragons’ Den.

In 2004-2008,, Curtin was a student at Hofstra University on a soccer scholarship. Her Hofstra Pride teammates Hofstra Pride included her fellow Republic of Ireland women’s internationals, Diane Caldwell and Edel Malone.

Marie Claire Curtin (born 7 August 1985) is an ex- Republic of Ireland women’s international footballer. Curtin was a player for various clubs of the Women’s National League, including Cork Women’s F.C., Galway and Limerick. She also played for UCD throughout Europe. Curtin was also playing semi-professional level with Long Island Fury in the Women’s Premier Soccer League and for Fortuna Alesund in the Norwegian First Division. Curtin also played in senior ladies’ Gaelic football for Limerick. In 2013, Curtin and her father Sean founded an enterprise that produces dairy products, Temple Dairy Ltd.

In the course of her career, Curtin was a regular player for the The team from Ennis, Lifford Ladies. In 2001, Curtin was awarded FAI Women’s Under-19 International player of the year, while being a player for Lifford. Her senior debut was also in The Republic of Ireland while a Lifford player. Her sister Anne Curtin, also played for Lifford Ladies and was a university international. The Curtin sisters were instrumental in helping Lifford Ladies reach the 2003 FAI Women’s Cup final which they lost 2 to UCD. Marie Curtin subsequently guested for UCD during the 2003-04 UEFA Women’s Cup campaign.

Curtin played senior ladies’ Gaelic football for Limerick and Mungret St. Pauls. On 26 September 2010 Curtin scored 2-5 and was named player of the match as she helped Limerick defeat Louth in the 2010 All-Ireland Junior Ladies’ Football Championship final.
