Marcus Chamat is one of the most popular and richest Pool Player who was born on May 6, 1975 in Borlänge, Sweden. Chamat was born in Borlange (Sweden) on 15 May 1975. He is co-owner of Interpool Restaurant, Biljard clubs, in Gavle and Uppsala, Sweden. The club has been a hub for pool in Sweden and started hosting international events in 2009. In 2009, the Interpool Open 9-ball began. Chamat, who stands at 5 feet 4 inches (1.63m) tall, is often called Napoleon because of his approach to pool and his small stature.
In 2000, he represented Europe in the Mosconi Cup. He has played six times for the Continent. He retired in 2015 and became the non-playing captain for the side. The team won the event in 2015 (2016), 2016, and 2017.
After failing to regain his place on the team in 2006, Chamat continued to play professionally, however, he took over as non-playing captain for Europe at the Mosconi Cup at the 2015 event. Chamat captained the team to three victories at the 2015, 2016 and 2017 events. In his fourth event as captain, he saw a losing effort in 2018, the first USA victory since 2009. During the event, after Joshua Filler put Europe 3–0 ahead, he neglected to shake the hand of his opponent Dennis Hatch, which led to Hatch leaving the arena feeling aggrieved. Chamat, as captain, took Filler to one side to calm the player down. Filler later praised Chamat, saying: “He is the best captain.” In total, Chamat has represented Europe at the event on ten occasions.
Chamat semi-retired from professional pool in 2015, before taking over as captain at the Mosconi Cup. Shortly before this, Chamat reached the last 16 at the 2015 WPA World Ten-ball Championship, losing to Yang Ching-shun 11–8.
Chamat won his first major title in 2000 by defeating Ralf Suquet in the final nine-ball event of the European Pool Championships. Chamat won the European championships in 2008 in the eight-ball competition, defeating Svilar Zren in the final 8-3. Chamat was also runner-up in the championships twice more, losing in the final of the 8-ball event in 2010 and in the 9-ball event in 2012.

Chamat reached the semi-finals of a world championships for the first time in 2004 at the 2004 WPA World Nine-ball Championship. After the preliminary round, Chamat defeated Souquet, Ramil Gallego (both 9–6), Thorsten Schober (11–8), and Marlon Manalo (11–6). Chamat played Chang Pei-Wei in the semi- final, but lost 11–9. He also reached this stage at the 2008 WPA World Eight- ball Championship, defeating Gabriele Cimmino, Kasper Kristoffersen (both 10–5) and Dimitri Jungo (10–6), before losing in the semi-final to Souquet 10–8.
