Pitruzzella was 14 years old when he received his first double-bass pedal. Pitruzzella spent hours practicing after school to his favorite death metal drummers. Throughout his schooling, he was active in the school’s orchestra and drumline. Pitruzzella graduated high school in 2004 and joined Vornagar to play drums on their debut album, The Bleeding Holocaust.
Jeff Hughell, Pitruzzella, and Pitruzzella released an EP of drum-and-bass metal called I Came to Hate in 2009.
In 2012, Pitruzzella recorded drums for a Slam Coke song which was his first collaboration under that project. Also in 2012 Pitruzzella did session work for Gurglectomy, Defleshed and Gutted, ABUSE, and Raped by Pigs. He had completed the drum tracks for his band Neurogenic which will be released on Comatose Music in late 2016.
In 2013, Pitruzzella joined Six Feet Under as their full time touring drummer.
Pitruzzella joined The Faceless in 2007 for a few US tours, which took place between March and June. He also released “Lord of the Blast”, his instructional DVD that he had made himself.

He drummed for Vital Remains on a major European tour in 2005. They toured 26 countries and played 52 shows between August-November. He formed Brain Drill in 2006 with Dylan Ruskin and released two albums on Metal Blade Records, The Parasites (2006) and Apocalyptic Feast (2008). In 2006, he met Jeff Hughell and they both performed live for Vile together.
