His musique concrete/acousmatic compositions use multitrack recording and extended performance techniques to play electric guitar, nylon string guitar, and electric bass. Oppedisano’s musique concrete compositions also include “live” electric guitar, as well as fixed playback of various electronic and acoustic sounds (especially a female voice thanks to Kimberly Fiedelman), and sampled sounds.
Oppedisano’s electronicacoustic music featuring guitars was used in film. It was also featured in the UK feature film “Besides These Walls”, directed by Jules Bishop. “Besides These Walls”, won the Queens World Film Festival 2018 Best Actor and Best Narrative Features. Oppedisano’s original music was used in Dead Man Rides Subway, a short film by Don Cato. Dead Man Rides Subway premiered at The Queens World Film Festival in March 2012. It was also the Grand Prize Winner at Roxy Underground Film Festival, New York City, in 2018.
Oppedisano currently resides in Forest Hills, Queens, with Kimberly Fiedelman (born July 2010) and his daughter Jillian Maisie Oppedisano.

Oppedisano was a member of Brooklyn College’s Conservatory of Music Electroacoustic Ensemble from 1999 to 2003. He used the Brooklyn College Center for Computer Music (BCCM) to create electroacoustic pieces that focused on the sounds of electric guitar and bass. Oppedisano’s home studio in Queens, NY has been his only place of work from 2003 to present. Oppedisano is an adjunct professor at Brooklyn College’s Conservatory of Music.
He has had his ensemble works performed by Quarto Ensamble, Esart Quartet (Chile), Fireworks Ensemble and Glass Farm Ensemble. Morris Lang directs the Brooklyn College Percussion Ensemble. Zyryab Guitar Quartet performs solo guitar compositions. As a guitarist he has performed in compositions by notable composers/guitarists, Nick Didkovsky and Glenn Branca.
