He is also a singer, writer, marketeer, editor, executive producer, video producer. His involvement in Christian music and his expertise in areas like advertising, marketing and audio/video production are what make him famous. After years of discipleship and training, he was ordained by Apostle Joel Pereira to be a minister at Projeto Vida Church.

Since 2000, he has been married Renata Batalha. He is now a full-time Middle School Pastor at The Ridge. His work involves leading hundreds of students through their spiritual lives each weekend. He loves music and occasionally joins the worship band on stage.

From 2002 to 2005 Marcello was the executive director and one of the hosts of the TV show “Por Um Milagre”, first broadcast in the Central Nacional de Televisão – CNT Network Television and then at Band Network Television.

The song became the anthem of one of the most relevant Christian movements in Brazil during those years: The “G 12”, at the time led by Apostle Renê Terra Nova, lead pastor at Ministério Internacional da Restauração, a megachurch in Manaus. This song was streamed in Radios all around Brazil, other countries in Latin America, and even Europe. A slideshow using the song was posted on YouTube, back in 2008, and had more than 1.700.000 views in a time when this achievement was not that common. Gil’s musical career incorporates an eclectic range of influences including Rock, POP, and Worship Music.

For this project, Marcello worked in collaboration with Lucas Macedo and Diogo Macedo from EME Studios. The studio is known for recording and producing many famous Brazilian bands and singers, such as Strike [pt] , Biquini Cavadão, Milton Nascimento, Yahoo, Diogo Nogueira, Jota Quest, João Bosco, Milton Guedes, Vanguard, among others. The album was mastered at Sterling Sound, the iconic mastering studio located in New York.
