Trey Anastasio’s guitarist Trey Daubert was a friend of Daubert. In spring 1984, the University of Vermont suspended Daubert. Phish was temporarily suspended while Anastasio and Daubert recorded a project called Bivouac Jaun. A lot of this recording would be included on Phish’s debut album The White Tape.
Marc Daubert was briefly the percussionist of Phish in the early days of their history. He joined the band in September 1984, and left the band in February 1985.
