Manny Matsakis is one of the most popular and richest American Football Player who was born on April 16, 1962 in New Britain, Connecticut, United States. Manny Matsakis, born Emmanouel M. Matsakis on April 16, 1962, is an American football coach. He was also a former player. Since 2018, he is Defiance College’s head football coach. Matsakis was the head football coach at Emporia State University, Texas State University, and Bethany College, Lindsborg, Kansas, from 1995 to 1998.
Matsakis was appointed head coach of Enka High School, Candler, North Carolina in 2010. His teams posted a 13-23 record prior to his resignation in 2013.
Matsakis spent the three years, 2015 to 2017, as the offensive coordinator at Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania.
In July 2018, Defiance College announced that it had selected Matsakis as head coach of the Yellow Jackets.
Matsakis was an assistant coach at Hofstra University, Long Island in the mid 1990s. Matsakis was the University of Wyoming’s offensive coordinator in 1999. He accepted the special teams coach position at Texas Tech in 2000. There he coached until his appointment as Texas State’s head coach for 2003. Matsakis was appointed the offensive coordinator at Capital University by Jim Bickel on February 15, 2008. Two weeks into 2009, Matsakis was appointed running backs coach by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (CFL).

Matsakis graduated from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio in 1984. He was a four-year letter-winner and a three-time First Team All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection for kicker. Matsakis still holds the school record for the longest field goal at 54 yards, which he made in 1981.
