She has performed more than 2,000 songs in seven languages. She has also sung over 12,500 songs, including hymns in devotional, folk and Indi pop as well as semi-classical songs, in nine languages. Manjula has provided her voice to heroines such as Sudha Rani and Radhika Sarathkumar.

Manjula Gururaj, an Indian female voice-over artist and playback singer, has mostly worked in Kannada feature movies. Manjula Gururaj started “Sadhana Music School” on 21 June 1991, in Basavanagudi, Bangalore, inaugurated by the famed playback singer, S. Janaki. It has since made its presence felt all over Karnataka. Now Manjula Gururaj is the sole owner proprietress of the School. As of 2020, there are 2 branches in Jayanagar and Gandhibazaar.
