In 2016, he released a reprise effort with Asha Bhosle in the form of an album called “82”, reflecting the veteran singer’s age at the time of recording. Acting as music director, he featured six of Suresh Bhat’s ghazals, that Bhat had given Agashe prior to his death.
Agashe, a student in computer engineering, launched Musicurry.com, an internet radio station, in the middle of the 1990s. Agashe was a co-musician with Pandit Hridayanath, and he sang his first song as playback with Asha Bhoosle. His 1998 debut mainstream album, Nazar Nazar, was released. He recorded the album in Hindi and English. Many songs and their accompanying music videos were well-received on MTV India.
