He was elected to the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab with 34,335 votes, defeating Shahid Masood Ali, an independent candidate.
He was re-elected to Provincial Assembly of the Punjab as a candidate of PML-N from Constituency PP-175 (Kasur-II) in 2018 Pakistani general election.
As a candidate of PML-Q in Constituency PP-178, (Kasur-IV), he ran for the seat of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab but was defeated. He was defeated by Ahmad Ali Tolu (a candidate for the PPP) after he received 19,416 votes.
