Maina Sage is one of the most popular and richest Politician who was born on May 10, 1975 in Papeete, French Polynesia. She joined the Government in French Polynesia Gaston Tong Sang on 29 December 2006 as Minister of Tourism & Environment. This position lasted until September 2007. She is elected to the Assembly of French Polynesia in 2008. She was re-elected as chair of the Committee on the Economy, Finance, Budget and Public Service in May 2013. Maina Sage, a member of Rassemblement pour une majority autonome, holds the Vice-President position at the Committee on Institutions, International and European Affairs and Relations with Municipalities since 11 May 2015.

She joined Tapura Huiraatira, an autonomous political party, at its founding in February 2016. It was founded by Edouard Fritch who has since become President French Polynesia. Maina Sage was reelected on 17th June 2017.
