Maddox is one of the most popular and richest Humorist who was born on March 27, 1978 in Salt Lake City, United States. Maddox founded The Best Page in the Universe in 1997. His pen name is derived from the 1987 video animation Metal Skin Panic MADOX-01. Most of the content on the site is satirical. Maddox claimed that his online store had earned enough money to allow him to “stay above the water” in 2006. Maddox was reportedly a programmer at a telemarketing firm from 2004 to 2004.

Maddox and Dick Masterson co-created The Biggest Problem In the Universe, a weekly podcast in 2014. Each co-host discussed a problem and then solicited votes from the audience. Maddox created Madcast Media, a podcast that had its last episode on May 31, 2016. Maddox debates both sides in The Best Debate in the Universe, the pilot program.

As of 2018, Maddox produces episodes of his web series The Best Show in the Universe which has just under 290,000 subscribers. George Ouzounian is better known as his pen name Maddox. He is an American comedian, Internet personality and author. His opinion-oriented website The Best Page in Universe, which he still maintains, made him famous on the Internet in 2000. His first book, The Alphabet of Manliness (2006) was a New York Times bestseller. He graduated from Woods Cross High School, Woods Cross, Utah. He also attended the University of Utah but did not earn a degree.

Maddox is the author of three books. The Alphabet of Manliness was his first book, published in 2006. It was number one on Amazon.com’s sales charts. It is illustrated with a chapter for each letter of the English alphabet. Each chapter covers a manly topic, such as N for Norris or Chuck. His second book, I Am Better Than Your Kids was published in 2011. Maddox made it clear that he was planning to write a third book. He updated his fans in May 2015 about the progress of the first draft, which was completed in September 2016. The book was titled F*ck Whales – Petty Essays From a Brilliant Mind and was published in October 2017.

In November 2017, Maddox filed a $372 million harassment lawsuit with the New York Supreme Court against Masterson, individuals at Patreon, and Weber Shandwick copywriter Asterios Kokkinos who made guest appearances on The Biggest Problem in the Universe and The Dick Show. Maddox and his girlfriend, not named in the suit, allege that the defendants launched a trolling campaign against them which resulted in rape and death threats and the loss of sponsorship. They cited an album by Kokkinos and a billboard contest by Masterson, which both attempted to mock Maddox, along with targeted ads on Facebook and Reddit. A representative for Shandwick stated their plans to contest the lawsuit’s claims, and Masterson rejected the allegations. On May 16, 2018, Judge Charles Ramos dismissed the claims against all defendants arguing that those against Masterson should have been filed in the jurisdiction of California. Of the claims against Asterios Kokkinos, Ramos expressed frustration as to the poor drafting of the complaint and its lack of specific evidence, saying, “this complaint is such a mess that I can’t address these issues because I can’t specifically point to what’s being alleged as against your client or your client.” Ramos dismissed the claims against Weber Shandwick with prejudice stating that they were named in the suit “just because someone used their equipment”.
