Pride was selected to the USA team at the 1998 William Jones Cup competition, Taipei (Taiwan). Nell Fortner, the coach of the USA team, won five games and earned the gold medal. Pride scored 9.0 points per match and was the leader in steals with 11.

In the 2000 WNBA Draft, Pride was selected in the seventh overall pick by the Portland Fire. After the season, she was traded to the Minnesota Lynx and she played for the Lynx during the 2001, 2002, and part of the 2003 seasons. After being waived by the Lynx, she signed with the Los Angeles Sparks for the rest of the 2003 season before retiring.

Pride was selected to the USA Basketball Women’s Junior National Team after it was invited to participate in the 1997 FIBA Junior World Championship, now known as U19. The next match was against Australia, who is the current champion. The USA team led by 13 points in the second period, but lost the game by 80 to 74. USA won the game 92-88. This victory was helped by 23 points from Maylana Martin, Pride and Maylana Martin. The USA went on to defeat previously unbeaten Russia. The USA then faced Australia in the gold-medal game after winning the first two games. The USA team had a lead of three points late but the Aussies scored a three pointer with three seconds remaining in regulation to force overtime. The Aussies won the game, but the USA team was able to pull back to win the gold. This is the first medal that a USA team has received at a Junior World Championship. Pride averaged 10.4 points per match and was the leader in steals with 21.
