Daniels joined League One club Charlton Athletic on an emergency 28-day loan on 17 September 2010, as cover for injured second-choice goalkeeper Robert Elliot. He was an unused substitute on two occasions and failed to make an appearance before his loan expired.
On 14 July 2010, it was announced that Daniels joined League One club Bristol Rovers on a season-long loan. A back injury suffered during pre-season led to the termination of his loan before the beginning of the regular season.
Daniels was loaned to Motherwell by the Scottish Premier League club Motherwell for the remainder 2007-08. His first appearance as a senior player was a defeat to Celtic in a 2-1 match on 3 May 2008. Before his loan was terminated, he made another appearance.

Daniels, a goalkeeper, began his career at Manchester United’s academy before moving to West Bromwich Albion’s academy in 2004. After completing his scholarship, Daniels signed his first professional contract in July 2006. In January 2007, Russell Hoult, second-choice goalkeeper, left. Daniels was promoted to the substitutes’ bench. He did not make it to the final match of 2006-07 season. However, he signed a two-year contract extension at the end. Daniels was only called into the squad for the 2007-08 season. He spent the majority of the next three seasons on loan, and in July 2009 signed a two year contract extension. Daniels was called to the squad for the second time in almost four years, for two League Cup matches in the 2011-12 season. Marton Fulop became his regular backup after he returned from loan in the second half 2011-12 season. Daniels was Boaz Myhill’s backup during the first half 2012-13 season. However, he did not play during the second half. In March 2013, he signed a two-year contract.
Daniels joined League Two club Shrewsbury Town as a season-long loan from August 2008 to begin his League Two career. The Shrews achieved a successful season with Daniels, who was loaned to them for a full season. The Shrews lost 1-0 at Wembley Stadium, despite their man-of-the match performances against Bury in the semi final second leg and Gillingham in the final. During the 2008-09 season, Daniels was present in 44 matches.
On 2 December 2010, a goalkeeping injury crisis at League One club Rochdale saw Daniels join the club on a seven-day emergency loan. The loan was extended for a further seven days, but he made just one appearance for the club before his loan expired.

On 22 January 2015, Daniels signed a 2 ⁄2 -year contract with League One club Scunthorpe United for an undisclosed fee. The Iron were without first and second-choice goalkeepers Sam Slocombe and James Severn due to broken arms. Daniels made 23 appearances in what remained of the 2014–15 season. He made 44 and 42 appearances during the 2015–16 and the 2016–17 seasons respectively and kept more clean sheets than any other goalkeeper in League One during that period, with 27 in 78 matches. Daniels departed the club in May 2017, after his contract expired. He made 109 appearances during his two-and-a-half year spell at Glanford Park.

On 24 May 2017, Daniels joined Championship club Brentford on a free transfer and signed a three-year contract with an option for a further year. Daniels appeared in each of the club’s four cup matches during the 2017–18 season and made his league debut versus Hull City on the final day, in which he helped preserve a 1–1 draw by saving a second-half penalty. Aside from cup appearances and two league starts, Daniels was again backup to Daniel Bentley for the majority of the 2018–19 season, until a season-ending shoulder injury suffered by Bentley in March 2019 allowed Daniels a run in the team in league matches and he finished the season with 19 appearances in all competitions.
