Gregorc entered his first professional tournament in Portorož, Slovenia, a Futures tournament, which he lost to Uros Vico of Italy, 6–1, 6–3, in the first round. He won his first match in his second tournament, another Futures tournament, this time located in Jamaica, before losing in the next round. In 2002, Gregorc reached a final in Montego Bay, Jamaica, but lost in the final to Brandon Wagner of the United States. He started to produce better results later on in the year, but in 2003 he didn’t show as formidable tennis.

In 2005 and 2004, the same thing happened. However, Gregorc won his match in his first main-level Association of Tennis Professionals ATP tournament in Beijing, China. He lost. In 2006, he won his first tournament by winning a Futures tournament against Venezuelan Yohny Romaro. He played in his home country, and won 1-6, 6-0 and 6-3. It is Gregorc’s only singles title. He has been a participant in Challenger tournaments and won matches at ATP tournaments in Asia and Delray Beach. Since his Beijing defeat in 2005, he has won ATP matches.
