Luciferno Biography

Luciferno is one of the most popular and richest Mexican professional wrestler who was born on January 11, 1972 in Gomez Palacio, Mexico. Jesus Parra Ramirez, a Mexican Luchador enmascarado or masked professional wrestler, was born January 11, 1972. He currently works under the ringname Luciferno. Ramirez has been with Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre since 2002. He is a founding member and core member of Los Guerreros Tuareg, as well as the group that preceded it. Ramirez previously wrestled under the ring name Super Punk or Ultimo Rebelde. Although he is not recognized on television, he is Ephesto’s brother.

Pandilla Guerrera’s members split from Los Guerreros del Infierno in 2007 to create their own identity. They were called Los Rebeldes del Desertio (“The Desert Rebels”) or sometimes Los Rebeldes del Tuareg (“The Tuareg Rebels”), but eventually became known as Los Guerreros Tuareg (“The Tuareg Warriors”)). Guerreros Tuareg, despite the new name, remained a midcard rudo team that was primarily used to elevate their opponents. Hooligan and Arkangel de la Muerte teamed together in June 2008 to compete at a tournament for CMLL Arena Coliseo Tag Team Championship. Hooligan and Arkangel beat Tony Rivera and Leono in the first round, but lost the second round to Angel Azteca Jr. and Mascara purpura. Hooligan was among 12 wrestlers who wore their masks in a Luchas de Apuestas cage match. Hooligan was the second man to escape from the cage, keeping his mask secure. The final saw Tigre Blanco pin Hooligan to unmask him. Hooligan was among 12 men who were part of a match between 12-man steel cages in the main event at Infierno en el Ring 2010. Hooligan was the first to get out of the cage. He distracted his Guerreros Tuareg partner Doctor X to help him escape. Angel de Oro beat Fabian el Gitano at the Lucha de Apueta portion of the match.

In 2004 Los Guerreros del Infierno created a mid-card sub group called Pandilla Guerrera (Spanish for “Gang of Warriors”) to counter Los Guapos’ Guapos U group. Pandilla Guerrera was made up of all three Alianza members, as well as Nitro and Doctor X, Arkangel la Muerte, El Koreano, and Loco Max. The group was prominently featured in CMLL stories, but after Los Guapos left CMLL, Pandilla Guerrera was used mainly for helping young tecnicos improve their ring skills and less to aid them in moving up the ranks. Hooligan teamed up with Arkangel, Loco Max, and Stuka Jr. on December 12, 2005, but lost to the team El Texano Jr., Stuka Jr., and Virus in their opening match at the 2005 Juicio Final show.

Durango’s Halcon Suriano, Asterion and Asterion trained Ramirez for his professional wrestling career. Ramirez wanted to follow his older brother and become a professional wrestler. Ramirez was in the same wrestling class as Ultimo Guerrero, and they became close friends. Ramirez, a masked enmascarado (masked character) called “Super Punk”, made his professional wrestling debut December 25, 1989. He was inspired by British Punk Rock and had a Mohawk sticking out his top. Guerrero’s 1990 debut as El Flanagan, the two started to team up regularly and earned them the Laguna Tag Team Championship. Promo Azteca offered Ramirez and his tag partner a huge opportunity in 1997 after they had worked around Durango. The team was called Los Hooligans and Ramirez became Ultimo Rebelde (“The Last Rebel”) while El Flanagan became Ultimo Guerrero (“The Last Warrior”) when they brought them in. Los Hooligans’ first major storyline feud saw them facing off against the Salsero and Torero teams. This story was supposed to have Los Hooligans losing their masks in a Lucha de Apuesta match to Torero or Salsero, but Guerrero decided to leave Promo Azteca and join Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre CMLL to avoid being unmasked. Ultimo Rebelde lost the final match to Torero on 12/12/97. After that, Guerrero had to reveal his true identity and unmask himself per Lucha Libre traditions. Ramirez continued his work at local shows after Promo Azteca was closed less than a full year later, until he was offered a chance to wrestle for CMLL 2002.

Ramirez, an enmascarado character named Hooligan and inspired by British football hooligans, made his debut at CMLL in August 2002. Although his mask was initially modeled after the Union Jack’s, it was later altered with Mohawks and other decorations. He began his career in the second or first match of the night, with mixed results. He formed a rudo group with Sangre Azteca (the bad guy) called La Alianza (“The Alliance”) in 2003. Their participation in the 2003 tournament for the Mexican National Trios Championship was the only highlight of La Alianza, which they lost in round one.

On February 3, 2015, Ramírez debuted under the new ring name Luciferno and joined Mephisto and his brother Ephesto in a group called Los Hijos del Infierno (“The Sons of the Inferno”). On August 9, 2015 Los Hijos del Infierno defeated Los Reyes de la Atlantida (“The Kings of the Atlantis”; Atlantis, Delta and Guerrero Maya Jr.) to win the Mexican National Trios Championship.
