Victor Lowe introduced him to product development and later challenged Laing in order to develop new products to sustain WTI’s market leadership. Laing convinced Lowe, his partners, to create a flat-rate internet model. This revolutionized internet service provision throughout Jamaica.
Laing graduated from Munro College in 1994. He is a pioneer in the field of telecommunications, Internet and entertainment production.
In 2015 Laing was invited to the board of AnSuen Holdings LLC, a US based digital asset management firm, and helped to establish its corporate presence in Jamaica which serves to incubate concepts and accelerate early stage startups, such as the contactless payment processing platform ClickPaye a PitchIT Caribbean 2016 Top 10 finalist.
