Whybourn reached the semifinals in a $10,000 event in April 2010. She then went on to reach her first ITF final that month, where she was defeated by Romana Tabakova (Slovakia). A $10,000 ITF quarterfinal followed, before Whybourn was granted a wildcard into the qualifying draw of the Aegon Classic at Birmingham.
