Schoeneberg was a skip alternate three times during the six-year period. Schoeneberg was the leader of her team to the US National Championships gold medal in 1992, 1995, 1996 and went on to represent America at World’s. At the 1992 World Championship in Garmisch-Partenkirchen the American women lost to Team Sweden in the championship game, resulting in a silver medal. They finished 5th at the 1995 World Championship in Brandon, but missed the playoffs. Schoeneberg’s 1996 World Championship in Hamilton saw them again succeed, reaching the championship match for the second time. They lost again to Team Canada and took home the silver medal.

Schoeneberg was inducted into the United States Curling Association (USCA) Hall of Fame in 2006 and four times she has been named the USCA Female Athlete of the Year: in 1987, 1992, 1995, and 1996.

Schoeneberg was first to make an appearance at the World Championships 1990 in Vasteras. She joined Bev Behnke’s team who had just won the US National Championship as an alternate. With a record of 3-7, they finished 8th.
