Lionel Sionne Baker, a West Indian cricketer, was born 6 September 1984 and has played first-class cricket in the Leeward Islands. He is the first Montserratan to represent the West Indies in Test cricket.
Baker was named as one of the ODI players for Pakistan on the 1st November 2008. He was also announced as one of the four players, along with Leon Johnson, Brendan Nash and Kemar Roach, who were not eligible for Test caps in the 15-man squad that will tour New Zealand to play Test series. When he played his One Day International (ODI), debut against Pakistan, he became the first Montserrat player to represent the West Indies senior team at international level. Salman Butt was his first wicket in international cricket. After he was not able to bat, he bowled first change and finished the match with 9-0-47-3. The West Indies lost the match by just four wickets.
Baker played in 2007 for Marston Green Cricket Club, an English Village side. They broke their long-standing batting record by scoring 207 against Aston Unity. Baker was a part of the Marston Green Cricket Club and scored 819 runs. He also took 27 wickets during this season. Baker enjoyed frequent visits to local Chinese take-outs and ate shrimps as a post-match snack.

Baker represented Montserrat at the Stanford 20/20 from 2006 to 2006. He was also selected for the Stanford Superstars squad against England in 2008. However, he did not play for them.
In the 2008 English season, Baker represented Walmley in the Birmingham and District Premier League. After impressing in the nets in 2008, Baker signed a two-year contract with Leicestershire County Cricket Club to represent them from 2009. He has a British passport which would have allowed him to play without counting as an overseas or Kolpak player. However, a month later the deal fell through once Baker was selected for the West Indies team as he was no longer eligible to play as a Kolpak player.
