She won a gold medal at the 1991 FINA world aquatics championships in the 100-meter breaststroke and represented Australia at 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. She came in 15th and 19th place in her breaststroke events.
Frame returned to swimming in 2009 Frame won the gold medal in the W35/39 50m breaststroke competition at the 2009 World Masters Games. She beat the second- place swimmer by over 3 seconds. Frame holds FINA Masters World Record for the W40-44 age category in the 50m breaststroke or 100m breaststroke events. She was a participant at the 2014 FINA Masters Championships in Montreal and won gold medals for the 50m, 100m, and 200m breaststroke events.
Frame, who had chronic fatigue syndrome, retired from swimming in 1996.
