She compiled a record score of 104-85 in six seasons at Colorado and led the Buffaloes to the NCAA Women’s Division I Basketball Tournament in 2013 and the WNIT three seasons later. Lappe was fired in October 2016 after a disappointing 7-23 season between 2015-16. Lappe was hired by the University of San Francisco as associate head coach for women’s basketball.
Lappe started her coaching career in Iowa as an assistant coach at Drake University. She held that position from 2003 to 2006. Lappe became the head coach of Division II Metro State in 2007 after one season as an assistant coach at Colorado State.
