He is the son and former manager Leroy Rosenior and spent some time at Torquay United during their promotion season 2003-04. He played for Reading, Fulham and Bristol City.
In July 2006, he signed a four-year extension of his Fulham contract. However, he left Fulham to go to Reading for an undisclosed amount on a three-year contract. Seol Ki-Hyeon was the one who went the other way. He made his Reading debut on 15 September 2007 in a defeat to Sunderland. On 29 September 2007, he scored his first goal in Reading’s 7-4 loss to Portsmouth.
On 29 October 2010 Rosenior joined Hull City on a short-term agreement until 1 January 2011. He made his debut the following day in the away match at Barnsley. He signed a 2 ⁄2 -year deal with Hull on 21 December 2010. Saying “I’m delighted, It’s something that we kind of half agreed when I first came here, but it relied on the takeover being completed for me to stay.”
On 18 August 2013, Rosenior was an unused substitute as Hull lost 2–0 against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on the opening weekend of the season. On 22 March 2014, Rosenior scored his only goal for Hull City when heading the rebound in from a Nikica Jelavić penalty that was saved by West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Ben Foster. On 17 May 2014 he started in the 2014 FA Cup Final against Arsenal.
It would take him over a year to add the England U21 cap. The next match will be against the Netherlands U21 on November 14, 2006. Rosenior was selected for the squad at the 2007 UEFA European Under-21 Championship. However, he only played one match, the semi-final against Holland U21. This game saw him participate in the shootout, scoring his penalty. England lost 13-12. This would be his seventh appearance in the shootout for England’s U21 team.

Rosenior was sent to Fulham on 22 September 2004 when he received his second yellow card for injury in diving time. Rosenior would not make his Premiership debut with the club until 13/12 when he was awarded the Sky Sports Man-of-the Match award. Rosenior’s first season in Craven Cottage ended the same way it began. He was sent off on 7 May in a 3-1 victory at Blackburn for pushing Robbie Savage in 70 minutes. Because of his Afro hairstyle, Rosenior quickly became a popular player among Fulham fans. Rosenior cleared the goal line in a match against Manchester City, a feat that seemed impossible. Fulham won the game 2-1 with Steed Malcolmnque scoring in overtime. Rosenior later explained to reporters that his Afro hairstyle allowed him to clear the ball that way.
