Hennessy was part Padraig Harrington’s coaching team for his Major wins: The Open Championship 2007 & 2008, and the PGA Championship 2008.
Dr. Hennessy was an ER physician at the Blackrock Clinic in Dublin, and worked in the Cardiopulmonary Department. Hennessy was a teacher at St Columba’s College in Dublin. After completing his competition, Hennessy was appointed National Jumps Coach in Ireland. He also served as the Irish team manager at 1985’s IAAF World Junior Championships in Athletics in Athens. Hennessy worked with many Irish Olympic Athletes over the years. He was Chief Exercise Physiologist for the Irish Olympic Team at Atlanta 1996.
