Bekric placed fourth at the Rio Paralympic Games 2016 in Men’s 100m breaststroke SB13. However, he did not advance to the finals of the Men’s 400m Freestyle S13 and Men’s 100m backstroke S13.

In 2017, he was inducted into Swimming South Australia Hall of Fame.

He finished fifth in the Men’s 50m breaststrokes and seventh in the Men’s 50m butterfly at the 2015 Australian Swimming Championships. Bekric took gold at the 2015 Australian Age Championships in the 50m breaststroke and freestyle – he was defending his titles from 2014. He won silver in the Men’s 50m and 100m butterflies, as well as bronze in the men’s 200m individual Medley. At the 2015 Japanese National Championships, he represented Australia for the very first time and won gold medals at the Men’s 50m and 100m breaststroke as well as the Men’s 50m Freestyle.
