Lewis John Spencer Edge, born 12 January 1987, is an English professional footballer. He was last a goalkeeper at A.F.C. Fylde in NPL Division One North league.

The 31-year-old was then loaned to Rochdale, where he remained until the end. However, he was recalled on the 29th.

In April 2007, Edge suffered ligament damage that prevented him from getting some first-team games under his belt after concurrent injuries to Blackpool’s other goalkeepers, Rhys Evans and then on-loan Paul Rachubka. Blackpool manager Simon Grayson brought in Manchester City’s Joe Hart on loan as an emergency stand-in. On 29 May he received the club’s “Young Player of the Year” award at Blackpool’s annual presentation night held at Bloomfield Road. On 25 January 2008, he signed a one-month loan deal with Conference National club Northwich Victoria. On 7 May he was released by Blackpool.

Edge was released by Morecambe in May 2009 and signed for A.F.C. Fylde in the NPL Division One North league in October 2009.

Edge was on loan to Conference North club Worksop Town on 17 February 2006. He was there to do work experience. His goal is to continue training with Blackpool and play for Worksop. After only one match, Edge returned to Blackpool on February 22nd after Andy Jeffery was cleared by Worksop to play.

He made his debut on Blackpool’s reserve team as a 16 year-old on 21 August

2003. However, he was still playing for Morecambe cricket. On 8 May 2004, he made his first-team debut with Blackpool. Even though Blackpool lost, Edge denied Lee Peacock three more times and won the man-of the-match award. Edge has been playing in the reserve team since then. He occasionally made an appearance on the first team. Edge, who was still part of the club’s youth soccer team, made his debut against Leicester City in the FA Cup on 18 January
2004. Brad Jones was loaned from Middlesbrough and was cup-tied. Lee Jones and Kevin Stuhr Ellegaard were both unfit. He also made his debut for Bloomfield Road’s first team.

Edge was one of four youth-squad members who were offered one-year contracts, with the option to extend for another year. He received his first professional contract in March 2006. After an injury to Lee Jones of Blackpool, Edge was loaned to Rochdale from July 2006 to January 2007. He was then recalled to the team on August 18. He signed for a loan at Bury on 14/10/2006. After just two weeks, he was recalled on 31 October.

On 21 October 2008 Edge signed for League Two club Morecambe on a two-month contract, joining his father at the club. He was an unused substitute later that day as the Shrimps lost 3–1 to Brentford at Griffin Park.
