Leo Quinteros (Arica, 11 July 1975) is a Chilean musician, singer and guitarist from Chile. His debut album debuted in 2004 with his album 1A. It was praised by critics for its technical excellence and emotional depth.
The fourth album, Los Dias Santos (The Holy Days) was released in in digital format and was only available through iTunes and the Chilean site Portal Disc. According to Quinteros who was quoted in super45.net: “As a generation, we have the ability to edit content as often as we want […] There’s no point in making an idiot of yourself and going back to the idea of the LP that they had in the 60s”. The album was recorded with Quinteros, Felipe Cadenasso and Antonio del Favero and was mixed by the Abbey Road Studios.
1A was his debut full-length, official album made by him on his own in 2004. The album’s arrangements and compositions were highly praised by the critics. In the latter half of 2005, Quinteros debuted his second album, Leo Quinteros Ahora! (Leo Quinteros, Now! ) (Leo Quinteros, Now!) whose song Fiesta Pagada (Paid Party) was a huge hit on radio playlists. A few of the live tracks on the album featured Gonzalo Planet (Matorral) on bass and Alvaro Gomez (Guiso and Perrosky) on drums.
