Lenny Daws (born 29 December 1978) is a British professional boxer from Britain. He was the holder of the British super lightweight title for two times in the years 2006-2011 as well as the EBU European Union super lightweight title between 2012 and 2014.
The victory over Morrison was the catalyst that brought Daws up to the peak of the national scene as the holder of the British light Welterweight title. The first time he fought took place in the ring against Welshman Jason Cook on 2 February 2010. Cook was an ex- European lightweight champion took a few days off from the sport only to return and make it to the semi-finals of the Prizefighter lightweight welterweight competition. Despite being shook during the opening round, Daws was able to hold the title with a draw with all three judges scoring in a close manner. Daws second defense took place on July 9th, 2010 when he faced English champion Steve Williams, Daws retained for the second time, after Williams was injured by two cuts on his eye, which caused his corner to pull off the champion. On February 19, 2011, in his third defense of his title Daws fell short of the title to Ashley Theophane at the Wembley Arena. Although he was in control during the beginning of the bout, Theophane took control during the second half of the fight and took Daws to the ground twice during round 9. Theophane went on to finish the fight as a winner after 12 rounds.
After Morrison’s defeat, Daws returned to action. Morrison victory, Daws returned to action in May 2007 and scored an impressive win in a fight with Billy Smith and then challenged his former rival Nigel Wright for Wright’s English title on the 14th of November, 2007. The match against Wright was held in The York Hall and resulted in the fight being a draw which meant that Wright retained his belt. He then went to win three more times before gaining another chance to defend his English title. His opportunity was on April 11, 2009 and he defended the belt by winning against Peter McDonagh the Southern Area champion. Daws’ win provided Daws the chance to take on Ajose Olusegun for his old British title, however Olusegun left the belt and chose to compete in an eliminator for WBC light welterweight title instead. This meant Daws opponents in the opposite corner to fight for the belt will now be his old adversary Barry Morrison in a contest scheduled for the 18th of September, 2009. The actual fight, held at York Hall, York Hall once more, saw Daws get back the belt that he had lost to Morrison and retaliate against the sole man who beat him, with a 10-th round stopping.

Daws made his debut in the professional arena on the 16th of April 2003, beating Danny Gwilym at the Ice Arena in Nottingham. In the following years, Daws racked up twelve consecutive wins with victories against the likes of Ernie Smith, Karl Taylor and Oscar Hall.
