In 1995, Sorochan moved to the professional ranks and spent five seasons in the minor leagues, earning a recall to the Flames in 1998–99 for two games, and another recall for one more game the following season. He did not record a point. Sorochan then moved to Europe, to play in the United Kingdom, Finland and Germany for three seasons before returning to North America for one season in the ECHL before retiring following the 2003–04 season.
