Lee McConnell (born 9 October 1978) is a retired Scottish athlete who was a competitor in the 400-metre and 400m hurdles after having began in her professional career with the jumper. She has been a three-time Olympian having represented Great Britain at the 2004 2008, 2009 and 2012 Olympics and has been 11 times medallist at major championships. She was named Scottish Athlete of the Year in 2003, 2002 and 2007.
In addition , at the World Championships, she ran the first leg of the 4 400 m relay squads who placed fifth in 2001 then sixth in 2003 then fourth for 2009. She was and also ran the fourth leg of the team that was fourth in 2011.
Internationally, in 2002, McConnell won a bronze medal at the 2002 European championships in the 400 m, then added a Commonwealth Games silver in the 400 m. In 2003 at the European Cup, McConnell came second in both the 400 m and the 4 × 400 m relay. She went to finish fifth in the 400 m final at the 2003 World Championships.
She was the Scottish 200 metres champion in 2002, and 2005. She also won the 400 m in 2001, and the 400 m at the AAA Championships in 2002.
She also has accumulated relay medals from the 4x 400 m race at the Universiade Games (in 2001) as well as her participation in European Championships (in 2002 and the 2010 edition) as well as in the European Indoor Championships (in 2005, 2007 , and the year 2011).
