She has competed in race cars like Formula Ford, Formula 3 and the Supercars Championship. The couple is Garth Tander, who is also a professional racer.

She was in 2008 and was at the top of Australian F3 scoring four poles positions, five wins in races and just missed the title in the final race against James Winslow.

In 2010 Tander competed in the Touring Car Masters, driving a replica Ford XA Falcon GTHO Phase IV. She placed 5th in the series, having won the last race of Round 5, held at the Mount Panorama Circuit as a support category to the 2010 Bathurst 1000 in which husband Garth finished 3rd in a successful weekend for the couple.

Tander began her karting career in 1993. She then moved on up to Formula Ford in 1998. After some mixed results she made the move to the V8 Supercar at the beginning of 2001, working with Garry Rogers Motorsport and 2002 with Fleetcare Racing. The following 3 seasons were spent watching her racing the father’s Mazda RX-7 in Improved Production racing. She took home two championships, the Victorian as well as New South Wales championships in 2005.
