Leanne Kelly Champ (born 10 August 1983) is a English footballer and coach, who most recently played for the North Jersey Valkyries of the North American W-League. A fullback who is tough and can also play as a midfielder, Champ previously played for FA WSL club Chelsea Ladies, Arsenal and Pali Blues as well as playing for three seasons as a player with Millwall Lionesses. She also represented England at both senior and youth levels. She is currently the second assistant coach for the Pro Team. She was a player in the North American W-League club Pali Blues in the summer of 2010. She was back at Chelsea for the first time in 2011’s FA WSL and played in 13 of Chelsea’s 14 league games. In 2012, Champ was a player with Philadelphia Fever in America’s Women’s Premier Soccer League Elite (WPSL Elite). She was able to make a brief returning in Millwall at the beginning of January before heading back for America in April of 2013 together with North Jersey Valkyries.

Leanne is a new member of the 2017 Boston Breakers coaching staff, serving as both the Pro Team Second Assistant Coach and the Breakers College Academy Coach as “part of the player identification and scouting network for both Boston Breakers senior teams, and Academy teams.”

Champ first began her football career after nine years with Millwall Lionesses, moving to Arsenal in 2001. She spent six years at Arsenal and worked in the club’s laundry while not playing, and then returned to Millwall in 2007-2008. Champ was absent from Arsenal’s quadruple winning season in 2006-07 because of an anterior ligament injury. In 2008-09 she assisted Millwall to win the FA Women’s Premier League Southern Division title and returning in the FA Women’s Premier League National Division. In the 2009-10 season, Champ changed clubs her team to Chelsea as a player and also scored against her her former club Arsenal in the 3-1 home League loss in November 2009.
