Lawrence Awuley Quaye (born 22 August 1984) is a Ghana born naturalized Qatari footballer who is a player for Qatari team Umm Salal and Qatar national team.
He was also a regular starter in the 2008 and 2009 editions which saw him play 5 and 4 games in each. In the 2010 edition, he was only involved in the two games of the quarterfinals, losing to Al-Hilal by 4-5 in the aggregate.
He also known as Anas Mubarak (Arabic: أنس مبارك ) after earning the Qatari passport and just known as Lawrence on his shirt (at 2011 Asian Cup only).
He played five times in his 2006 AFC Champions League, and scored two goals (1 goals for each) with Al-Karamah on matchdays 3 and 4. He did not play in the matchday five due to an injury.

He was a part of his club the Black Starlets at 2001 Meridian Cup which included an 1-1 draw against Portugal U18. They lost to Italy U18 0-1 in his captain’s role. And losing 0-2 to Spain.
In Accra, Quaye began his career at Liberty Professionals. In January 2003, he was hired to French Ligue 2 side Saint-Etienne. He took part in the first Ligue 2 match and first league game on the 8th of March 2003, in a draw against Wasquehal. He scored his sole goals for his club on December 6, 2003. He scored the only goal in the game against Gueugnon.
In 2010, he changed to play for Qatar at 2011 AFC Asian Cup, which Qatar as host. He capped for his adoptive nation in warm-up friendlies, against Haiti, Egypt, Estonia, Iran and North Korea. He also played all 3 matches against Kuwait, Yemen and Saudi Arabia in 2010 Gulf Cup of Nations. He was the starting central midfielder in all 3 group stage matches and in the quarter- finals, all partnered with Wesam Rizik. After the cup, he played against Russia to prepare for the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualification (AFC). He also capped for Qatar in an unofficial friendly against FC Lausanne-Sport and FC Bayern Munich.
